ANIMARIO 2024: Competición Internacional de Cortometrajes / International Shorts Competition

ANIMARIO, Festival Internacional de Animación Contemporánea de Madrid, celebrará la séptima edición del 12 al 15 de diciembre de 2024. Con el objetivo de apoyar a los creadores de cine de animación se abren las convocatorias de sus dos premios: Premio ANIMARIO al Mejor Cortometraje Animado y Premio ANIMARIO a la Producción de Animación. Organizado por Matadero Madrid y Cineteca Madrid, centros culturales pertenecientes al Área de Cultura, Turismo y Deporte, ANIMARIO reunirá un año más la mejor animación contemporánea en Madrid con una amplia programación compuesta por proyecciones de largometrajes y cortometrajes, conferencias, clases magistrales y talleres.

El Premio ANIMARIO al Mejor Cortometraje Internacional tiene una dotación de 5.000 € y está abierto a la participación de trabajos de todo el mundo hasta 30 minutos de duración, creados en cualquier tipo de técnica animada. La convocatoria del premio permanecerá abierta hasta el 30 de septiembre de 2024 y seleccionará obras de la mejor animación mundial para ser exhibidas dentro de la Competición Internacional de Cortometrajes de festival.

En la pasada edición del festival el Premio ANIMARIO al Mejor Cortometraje Internacional fue otorgado a Salvation Has No Name (foto superior), de Joseph Wallace (Reino Unido).

ANIMARIO, International Festival of Contemporary Animation of Madrid, will celebrate its seventh edition from December 12 to 15, 2024. With the aim of supporting the creators of animated film, the calls for its two awards are open: ANIMARIO Award for Best Animated Short Film and ANIMARIO Award for Animation Production. Organized by Matadero Madrid and Cineteca Madrid, cultural centers belonging to the Department of Culture, Tourism and Sport, ANIMARIO will once again bring together the best contemporary animation in Madrid with an extensive program of feature and short film screenings, conferences, master classes and workshops.

The ANIMARIO Award for Best International Short Film has a prize of 5,000 € and is open to works from all over the world up to 30 minutes long, created in any type of animated technique. The call for entries will remain open until September 30, 2024 and will select works of the world's best animation to be screened as part of the festival's International Short Film Competition.

In the last edition of the festival, the ANIMARIO Award for Best International Short Film went to Salvation Has No Name (photo above) by Joseph Wallace (UK).
