Otros la abrazan y así se elevan, ganándose un lugar con los demás... en el corazón. Uno de los grandes clásicos de la animación portuguesa. / Some people are different, albeit against their will. All they want is to be just the same as everyone else. Some people spend their whole lives struggling to achieve this, denying or attempting to suppress this difference. Others embrace it and, in so doing, elevate themselves and earn a place in the hearts of others. One of the great classics of Portuguese animation.

VIAGEM A CABO VERDE (José Miguel Ribeiro, Portugal, 2010, 17’)
Crónica de unas vacaciones a pie durante 60 días en Cabo Verde. Sin móvil, reloj, ni planificación previa y con lo imprescindible a cuestas, el viajero descubre montañas, pueblos, el mar, una tortuga, música, cabras, niebla seca, caboverdianos y, sobre todo, una parte esencial de sí mismo. Uno de los cortometrajes más conocidos de Ribeiro. / Chronicle of a 60-day walking holiday in Cape Verde. With no mobile phone, no watch, no prior planning and only the bare necessities on his back, the traveller discovers mountains, villages, the sea, a turtle, music, goats, dry fog, Cape Verdeans and, above all, an essential part of himself. One of Ribeiro's best known short films.

KALI, O PEQUENO VAMPIRO (Regina Pessoa, Portugal-Francia-Canadá-Suiza, 2012, 9’)
Último corto de la trilogía de Pessoa sobre la infancia tras A noite e História trágica... Kali es un joven vampiro que sufre por no poder vivir en la luz. Viviendo en las sombras e inspirando miedo, vive envidioso de otros niños que ni siquiera sueñan con que él exista. Un día sale de su aislamiento y descubre que puede marcar la diferencia en la vida de los demás. / The last short film in Pessoa's trilogy about childhood after A noite and História trágica... Kali is a young vampire who suffers from not being able to live in the light. Although he lives in the shadows and inspires fear in others, he is envious of other children who never even dream that he exists. One day he emerges from his isolation and discovers that he can make a difference in other people's lives.

AMÉLIA & DUARTE (Alice Guimaraes, Monica Santos, Portugal, 2015, 8’)
Dos personas que se han separado e intentan lidiar con los sentimientos que surgen tras el fin de una relación. Su relación toma la forma de un archivador y su contenido ilustra la historia de su final. A través de las distintas formas en que ambos afrontan la ruptura, intentan dividir, destruir y borrar los recuerdos del otro. / Two people who have separated and are trying to come to terms with the feelings that arise after the end of a relationship. Their relationship takes the form of a filing cabinet, the contents of which illustrate the story of their separation. Through their different ways of dealing with the break-up, they try to divide, destroy and erase each other's memories.

ESTILHAÇOS (José Miguel Ribeiro, Portugal, 2016, 18’)
Esta es una película sobre cómo la guerra se instala en los cuerpos de las personas que la viven cara a cara. Y luego, miles de kilómetros y decenas de años después, contamina a otros seres humanos como un virus. Basado en el estrés postraumático sufrido por el padre del autor al regresar como soldado de la guerra de Angola. / This is a film about how war occupies the bodies of the people who experience it face to face. And then, thousands of kilometres and tens of years later, it infects other human beings like a virus. Based on the post-traumatic stress suffered by the author's soldier father on his return from the war in Angola.

SURPRESA (Paulo Patricio, Portugal, 2017, 8’)
Corto documental a partir de una conversación grabada entre una madre y su hija de tres años, que se recupera de un cáncer de riñón. Ambas hablan abierta y francamente sobre la enfermedad, sus circunstancias actuales, sus luchas y sus éxitos. / A short documentary film based on a recorded conversation between a mother and her three-year-old daughter, who is recovering from kidney cancer. Both talk openly and honestly about the disease, their current circumstances, their struggles and their successes.

ÁGUA MOLE (Alexandra Ramires, Laura Gonçalves, Portugal, 2017, 10’)
Los últimos habitantes de un pueblo se niegan a dejarse hundir en el olvido. En un mundo donde la idea del progreso parece estar por encima de todo, este hogar flota. Una procesión delicada y melancólica, encabezada por un "careto" (máscara), una figura típica del carnaval en la región de Trás-os-Montes, resulta en un escenario único en honor al campo rural portugués, ahora casi extinto. / The last inhabitants of a village refuse to let themselves be forgotten. In a world where the idea of progress seems to be paramount, this home remains afloat. A delicate and melancholy procession, led by a "careto" (mask), a typical carnival figure in the Trás-os-Montes region, turns into a unique scenario that pays homage to a Portuguese rural landscape that has almost disappeared.
