En este encuentro podremos conocer de primera mano la meteórica carrera de Rodrigo Blaas, uno de nuestros mejores y más internacionales talentos, forjado sobre todo en grandes estudios de EEUU. De regreso en España, donde inició su carrera, ha co-fundado, junto a Cecilia Hokes, la joven productora El Guiri Studios en Madrid, centrada en el desarrollo y la preproducción de animación.

Rodrigo Blaas, realizador y ganador de un premio Emmy, lleva más de veinte años trabajando en el sector. Animador autodidacta, desarrolló su pasión en Granada, donde creció. Sus trabajos para la industria de la animación estadounidense incluyen títulos reconocidos mundialmente como Ice Age, Los Increíbles o Wall-E. Recientemente ha escrito y dirigido un cortometraje original de Star Wars para la serie Visions (foto superior), estrenado este año en Disney+.

This encounter will give us the opportunity to learn first-hand about the meteoric career of Rodrigo Blaas, one of our best and most international talents, forged mainly in the major studios of the USA. Now back in Spain, where he began his career, he has co-founded, together with Cecilia Hokes, the fledgling production company El Guiri Studios in Madrid, which specialises on the development and pre-production of animation.

Rodrigo Blaas, a director and Emmy Award winner, has been working in the sector for more than twenty years. A self-taught animator, he developed his passion in Granada, where he grew up. His work for the American animation industry includes globally acclaimed titles such as Ice Age, The Incredibles and Wall-E. He recently wrote and directed an original Star Wars short film for the Visions series, released this year on Disney+.
